Q&A with GSS Architecture | Park Row occupier

What is your reason for moving to a new office?

GSS Architecture have had a presence in the Yorkshire region for over 13 years and, as a result of continued growth and an increased number of projects in and around the Leeds area, we leased a smaller office last year in central Leeds. The introduction of our Leeds Collaboration Hub was a huge success therefore we have decided to move into a more permanent home at Northspring to allow for us to continue building our presence in central Leeds whist providing a welcoming and inspiring working environment for our team.

What attracted you to Northspring | Park Row?

The central location is what first attracted us to Park Row. We were keen to be located close to our key clients and all the amenities that Leeds has to offer so Park Row was the perfect fit. With Northspring offering a number of office locations within Leeds, we were impressed that we would be able to utilise the numerous communal spaces and facilities across all of the Northspring sites.

How was the process of finding an office and where else did you look before choosing Northspring?

Having initially looked at our current location for a larger office space, we decided to look more towards the city centre, so we were in easier reach of the amenities. We originally looked at your Wellington Street site, which unfortunately we were unable to secure. As we loved the décor and facilities on offer, we enquired about alternative spaces that Northspring could offer which led us to Park Row. The communication and dialogue with Park Row representatives has been excellent throughout the process of agreeing the lease.

Which of Northspring’s luxury amenities do you see your company getting the most use of once you’ve moved in?

We envisage the suite of meeting facilities and collaboration space being utilised by our teams regularly for face-to-face meetings as well as using the video conferencing facilities and Boardroom. The Deck area will also provide great alternative spaces for us, particularly in the summer months! Access to outdoor spaces and the fresh air will provide numerous benefits to us including improved wellbeing, which is of great importance at GSS. A number of our team are regular gym goers, so the lower ground floor gym will also be well utilised.

Jonathan Hunter, Partner at GSSArchitecture“We are delighted to introduce our new, permanent Leeds Studio, which provides a fantastic working environment for our team. Northspring, and specifically Andy Wilson has  been extremely helpful throughout the process of securing the office space and ensuring the fit-out arrangements were seamless. Leeds is a key area of growth for GSS, and we are excited to continue building upon our strong relationships with clients in the area from our new base on Park Row.”
