Northspring | Temple Street Scores a hat-trick with three new occupiers

Northspring | Temple Street has kicked off 2025 with a trio of new arrivals, marking a significant milestone for the premium office development in Birmingham’s city centre. The building continues to appeal to ambitious forward-thinking companies thanks to its prime location, cutting-edge facilities and flexible leasing options.

Kellan Group Expands at Temple Street

Kellan Group, a UK-based recruitment business operating through two specialist brands including Berkeley Scott and Xpress recruitment, has moved into Northspring | Temple Street. Focused on acquiring and growing recruitment firms in accounting, finance, IT and HR, the team has chosen a traditional lease at Temple Street as part of their growth-focused strategy.

“Location is a big factor – being so close to both New Street and Snow Hill is a huge plus,” said Paul Mallan, Managing Director at Kellan Group. “The quality of the on-site amenities was also very appealing.”

Looking ahead to summer, the team is already eyeing one of Northspring’s standout features. “Weather permitting, I think the guys are really looking forward to using the roof terrace in the summer months – what a great view over the city!”

Helen Brennan, Customer Care Manager at Northspring, added “It’s been a pleasure welcoming the Kellan Group team to Temple Street. From day one, they’ve really embraced the building’s community feel and premium amenities. We’re looking forward to seeing them make the space their own as they continue to grow.”

Tradewind Moves in with a Mission to Match Talent

Leading education recruitment agency Tradewind took residence at Northspring | Temple Street, moving into a fully-fitted suite. The company specialises in placing teachers and support staff into rewarding roles across Primary, Secondary and SEN schools.

“Our team has outgrown our previous premises” explained Dasha Capova dos Anjos, Head of Procurement and Facilities at Tradewind. “Northspring easily ranked the highest when we benchmarked all our options. The prime location, excellent facilities and floorplan that matched our needs made the decision clear.”

With a focus on wellbeing and productivity, Tradewind’s team is already embracing the luxury amenities available at Northspring | Temple Street. “The team members are enjoying early morning and lunchtime workout sessions at the gym- and they love the terrace – especially looking forward to using it more in the summer.”

Richard Williams of Lambert Smith Hampton who completed the deal commented: “Tradewind’s move to Northspring is a perfect fit. The building’s combination of premium design, prime location and next-level amenities continues to attract dynamic growing businesses.”

Low Carbon Contracts Company Joins the Community

Low Carbon Contracts Company (LCCC) opens its new Birmingham base at Northspring | Temple Street. With existing offices in London and Leeds, the expansion reinforces LCCC’s growing role in the UK’s energy transition and brings the organisation closer to key stakeholders in the Midlands.

“With offices in London and Leeds already, having another regional base in Birmingham is a great opportunity for LCCC” said Andrew Deeley, Director Strategy & Development. “We now have a third location which is close to some of our key stakeholders and provides us with more diverse talent acquisition opportunities.”

Northspring | Temple Street stood out for its accessibility and central location. “The office is perfectly located between multiple main train stations which is important for us as we encourage all our people to travel by public transport wherever possible” Andrew added.

He also noted the positive impact of Northspring’s amenities on staff wellbeing: “We will probably get the most use out of the gym and the outdoor space. Having plenty of different options to stay active and enjoy a change of scenery will be really valuable in terms of mental and physical wellbeing.”

Dan White, Head of Flexible Workspace at CBRE who completed the letting said “LCCC’s move reflects how well Northspring | Temple Street caters to progressive organisations. The emphasis on sustainability, connectivity and modern design really resonated with their team.”
