International Women’s Day Q&A with Lauren Roberts, Workspace Design and Build

Have you faced any barriers in your career due to being a woman? If so, how did you overcome them?

Although being a woman in construction can sometimes be hard, I have been fortunate enough to not face any barriers during my career.

Why do you think diversity in the workplace is so important?

Everyone has their own experiences to draw from, so having a diverse workforce leads to better decision making overall.

Why do you think it’s important to celebrate international women’s day?

I believe the day provides the opportunity to raise any conversations that need to be had about inequalities people may be facing.

What has been your career highlight so far?

For me, being asked to be part of the diverse Management Team at Workspace Design & Build.
